If you could find OEM you probably wouldn't want them as they would be close to 40 years old by now and rubber parts only have a recommended shelf life of 15? years. Pull one apart and be as careful as you can to keep the seals as little damaged as possible. What you need is a large enough piece to get a good profile. Everything else you can measure with internal and external calipers. Go to a good hydraulics shop with your measurements and a profile of each and see what you can get. Or go online to Hercules or Allegheny or any other supplier and match up what you have. Also check the condition of the piston and the internal bushing (can't remember how these were made). You have to have enough room to push the idler forward to get at the tensioner, so yes the track has to be split.

Yes the tracks need to come off the ldler but you don't need to split the chain, just push the idler as far as it can go and flop the chain off it. More often than not worn out chains is the cause of the seal failure because the tensioner is over extended. A quick fix is to place a thick lump of steel between the tensioner and idler assembly.
