should be a 350 unless somebody changed it. as far as i know the last 327's were made in '69. i had one

    1973 C10 250 6 banger, or a 292 6 banger, or a 307 V8... sorry, I had C10 on the brain. 350, a 366 or a 427. If it's a small block, it's a 350. My uncle had a couple with the 366, I think it had wider valve covers than the 350.

No idea about the C60, but I had a 71 K20 with a 327 which I thought was the original motor. 56wrench were you talking all 327's or just in the c60's?

If it’s the original engine it should be a 4 bolt main 350.

If you had the serial number, there are charts on line like anything else. If the 5th digit is an A, it's a 350

as far as i know any produced in canada. somebody can correct me if i'm wrong. '62-'67 327's had small crank journals and '68-'69 had large journal cranks, the same as the later 350's. a few may have sneaked into medium duty trucks after '69 but i am not aware of any. the only way to tell a 327 is by the crank forging(casting) # and that is not 100% as the 307 used the same cast crank(same stroke) although smaller bore. the block casting number is usually not reliable as the 327 and 350 used the same block( 4" bore). if a cyl head is off, you can measure the bore and stroke, or combined with the block casting# and the crank forging# together should be able to determine if it is a 327 or a 350. in the late 60's and the early 70's, gm used a lot of 307's in cars and light trucks. i had one of those also. a lot of older cars and trucks got engine changes so the VIN only tells you what it left the factory with. even the original carburetor tag# only tells you what the carb came on-not what it may be now

Not a lot of gas jobs left around here now. Not many that can tune a carb anymore. There is 1 fella here with a TopKick with a gas job, and a trailing axle. I think it's fuel injected. Sounds good. He can haul more payload than the other tandems because the truck is so light.
