Hi All, I have a 1976 310 backhoe, that's in great condition. The only problem with it is the brakes. The left side never works, the right side always works but when i use both together its hit or miss. They could work and suddenly release while i'm holding them or slow the machine while going slowly to the floor or not work at all. If anyone has some ideas on what's causing this problem i would greatly appreciate it.
Most likely problem is equalizing valve in master cylinder is not seating, and it is letting hydro fluid cross over and you loss pressure, could be blown seal in left side axle housing or leaking brake line fast way to tell take brake line loose for left side and cap it at the master cylinder and then try it and see what it does and post results and we will go from there.
