We have a 1988 Case 125 that we have ressurrected. Slapped some much less worn out undercarriage on it. However, we have a problem. Whenever the functions are activated, the machine powers out and just about stalls, but still will "operated". The heavy duty wrench who is helping us with the undercarriage thinks the pump is not going "full stroke". Before hearing "It's old, and worn out", It operated fine last year before being parked (Other then tracks falling off). No contams in fuel or fluid. Filters changed. Electrical is (mostly) not butchered. Problem is, this machine was born before he (My Mechanic) was. Any old timers on here able to point me in the right direction? This beast is in too nice a shape to go to the boneyard, and runs great. Nige? Thanks in advance.
Please.... no comments about my advanced age LOL i was working on them when they were new, most of the time I found it was an engine problem when it was "pulling down" under load. It is a 6L913 Deutz, I would check the head temperatures before hydraulics. IF you want to continue with hydraulic testing you will need some pretty high pressure gauges and a flow meter to set it up. It has a 5 element positive displacement pump (no de-stroke) only 1 element goes to the main control valve. But there is a type of "summation" that will borrow oil from the other systems. And it is a nightmare to set-up for speed, if I remember correctly it took me a better part of a day to set up. (4 or 6 page procedure) I will dig thru my old training manuals this weekend, if i have it i will post it. Hope this helps Good luck
