I have a chance to buy a 1989 963 for a decent price. Here is the story, it was being used on a job site after new undercarriage was installed on it. The owner said he was running it and it started to act like the tracks were working against themselves as in one was going forward the other one was trying to go reverse. The man pulled the axles and put on lowboy and machine taken home. He has since passed and his son is selling it, says he doesnt have time to mess with it, other then that machine is in good condition. Thoughts on what could cause this? Thanks.
As @nicky 68a wrote on another thread recently. The hydrostatic drive system on this rear-engine loader line is not widely understood and there are not too many specialists around who know how to work on it.
