I bought this loader and it won't go into first or second gear. Have a new ecu and the solenoids are working. Does anyone have ideas or has seen this problem in the past? It has ZF transmission 4wg-180.
Hello Delilah, looks like a permanent pressure cut-off. Usually this feature cuts off pressure of forward or reverse clutch in first and second gear at a certain brake pressure. Have you got an electric diagram of the loader? Or transmission? Are there two brake pedals fitted? The left usually with clutch-cut-off, the right w/o. However if there is a permanent signal from the left the right will also not make it move. br Bigbert
Thanks Bigbert One more question: We unplugged pressure switch on brake pedal and parking brake switch, now loader will go back and forth between 1st and 2nd for a few seconds and then cut in and out twice then nothing if you go back to neutral and start over it will do the same. Is it possible the its the speed sensor? Do you have any other ideas? thanks Delilah
Hello Delilah, speed sensor at output gear could create such a behaviour. Will it do the same in 3rd and 4th gear? Is the controller an EST17/EST117 (semi-automatic) or EST25/EST125 (full automatic)? With EST25 htere is another speed sensor fitted closer to the converter bell housing. Please check both for electric connection, also check the cabine plug (TCU+gear selector) towards transmission, soemwhere located in cabine wall. Is there a gear display in cab fitted? Guess, you would have mentioned if a code was thrown. br Bigbert
Thanks for your replies, there is no one around here who knows anything about Samsungs!! The controller tag reads EST-17T and the ZF-NRT 6009 054 070 I have only located 1 speed sensor on the left side of the loader on the transmission (about 1/2 way up) is there another? No gear display in the cab. Your thoughts?
Hello Delilah, the EST17T is a so-called semi automatic version with only one speed sensor at output t/m. Did you check sensor? It is a 24 or 27 mm hexa spanner, sensor got a M18x1.5 thread, should come to a gap to gear 0.5 to 1mm, Plug to sensor ok? corrosion?, Also check plug at cabine wall for corrosion. Will loader run in 3rd and 4th gear without issues? br Bigbert
were you able to fix this issue?
