1997 Cat 416C ser.# 1220

I'm helping a friend working on backhoe he said when working it stops pulling keeps running but when he shuts it off it won't crank over and the lights on dash comes on when you turn the key on but no cranking he had a guy look at it he put new solenoid on transmission he said its stuck out side right now I'm trying to get some info before I go look at it when it warms up cold right now

    "1997 Cat 416C ser.# 1220"........ Not enough info I'm afraid. Need the last 8 characters, not just the Sequence Number which I'm guessing is 01220. You have 4 possibilities.
