Okay, so one of the pistons from a 99 International DT530 engine punched through the side of the block. We got a new reman'd engine and I've swapped everything over and have it in the truck. The engine cranks but there is no start. No smoke, so I'm thinking no fuel. The fuel line comes from the fuel filter, into a pump, then into a fuel rail. When these are cracked I get lots of fuel pressure with lots of bubbles. Does anyone know the proper procedure to priming the fuel system on an International DT530? Thanks.
So, I've figured out what is going on. The engine has HEUI injectors, so the high pressure oil pump needs oil to fire the injectors. For some reason the oil is not getting to the HPOP reservoir. Anyone ideas?
