just purchased an older but nice truck with low miles, removed the digger body from it think it was a model (945b) ive got the bodys exchanged out, my auto craine is a 6006H, well I have the plumbing handled,, need help with the wireing, on my old truck it had cruise control on it an I used to do the high idle function, but the oil did get hot over time tho an had to let it cool down. an as of rite now im using a stick to hold the foot throttle to get the rps up, the digger body had a foot throttle in the operator body seat, was hydraulicly operated but still had a electric potentiometer aswell under floor board, an on the autor craine remote theres a function for high idle an low idle, an truck shut off an start function, well ive got the starting one to work but not the shut off nor high idle, theres 2 big boxes with all kinda electrical goodies in the im guessing that are mounted between the front seats. ive found the wireing diagrams online to the auto craine opperations but cant find any info on the derrick body systems.
I am assuming it was an Altec D945 derrick. The throttle is independent from the Altec boxes. It will be wired through the remote PTO throttle as per engine manufacturer. If you contact Altec with the serial number of the digger derrick they should be able to provide you with the wiring diagram for the unit. If the cruise switches don't give you a fast idle right now there may be some parameters in the engine ECU that need to be changed. Terry
