long story but i bought a piece of junk, when i start it it will run for a minute or two then it shuts it self down the computer beeps and flashes the code EC 7 witch means engine coolant out of range i dont think it could be that hot by then . what yall think it could be?
Kubota engine? Not familiar with Bobcats but a lot of our gens and light plants use Kubota engines and most of them in that application have a safety shutoff for coolant temperature. Could be a failed sensor or it could be the sensor wire(s) are broken or grounded out. If its only running for a minute after a cold start I doubt it is actually overheating but stranger things have happened. Try shooting the block, head, thermostat housing and rad hoses with an IR temp gun after the first shutdown. If they're still cold, I would doubt its an overheat issue.
EC7 codes sounds like an old BOSS system code... are you sure this is a 2001? triangular or rectangular headlights?
