2005 ASV RC100 or 2008 Cat 287C for mulching/cutting

Been doing some mulching/brush cutting on the side with a wheeled Cat 252B standard flow. would like to step it up a bit and get a high flow unit. This is side work so dont have the budget to get a $100k machine. Have oportunity at a 2005 ASV RC100 with 3000 hours that has been maintained but mulching its entire life or a 2008 287C with 5000 hrs that's worked in a sand mine but auxiliary circuit has never been used. appreciate thoughts!

I honestly would pass on both, thats getting high in hours on the ASV, and the Cat better be darn near free for that many hours. If you're mulching I would try to find something with less then 2k hours. A cheap machine isn't cheap for long if the hydraulic pump goes 50 hours in. Just my 2¢.

2005 asvrc100 with 3000 hrs is $22k -----CAT 2008 287C with 7000 hrs is $17k and auxiliary circuit has never been touched.. tracks and undercarriage is 80%. what is worst case if cat needs to be rebuilt?

Cat is tight. No smoke. Cranks and runs strong. Does cat have separate pump for auxiliary circuits?

Used for mulching app, I'd pass. Keep looking. Good machines can be found.
