I have a 2008 Bobcat B300 D. Machines parking brake is stuck. will only move forward a few inches and back a few inches. parking brake button does nothing. Any one have any suggestions on how to get the parking brake disabled?
Welcome to HEF, Allin 1 ! Hopefully someone will read your thread and offer some help. Serial number available ?
IS the brake release solenoid being powered? Does the cartridge move? Charge pressure / pilot pressure (and does the engine load when trying to drive through brake)
Thanks for responding, I have the unit at the bobcat service center now. I know little about working on the B300 or other heavy equipment. Bobcat says they need to tare it down to locate the issue at an estimate of 15 hr. Bobcat service tells me they can't find any new parts to repair but may be able to find used? But they need to tare it down to find the problem and what parts may be needed. B300 moves forward and backwards a few inches to a foot and then stops feels like something locking the drive hard jerk when it stops. Engine will load when trying to move more then it will allow. It seems electrical as it did this once and the symptom went away on it's own then came back and is stuck in this state. Hoping someone had the same issue and new what it was to repair?
Try disconnecting the front or rear driveshaft
