Hello. I’m trying to switch out some old fuel hoses from the tank to the filter, marked «1» on the photo. My issues is accessinng the connection point on the tank, is it even possible to access it while the tank is completely assembled to the chassis?
Ive done these on an L20f. Its not fun, but it can in fact be done!
Tight squeeze, as mentioned. If you pull the propshaft, it affords you a smidgen of extra space.
Access looks tight on that L35B Pro. I found a similar discussion about an L30 where people suggested reaching the tank connections from underneath or from the engine side, with lifting the cab as the more involved option. That doesn’t confirm the same approach works on your 2010 L35B Pro, though. I’d check both routes with a light and inspection mirror before removing the tank. You’ll need enough room to reconnect and tighten the fitting, not just undo it. Can you post a photo of the actual tank connection and the space around it? The parts diagram doesn’t show the chassis clearance.
The tank sits on rigid saddles. It cannot be removed without removing the cab. Everything about the compacts is a challenge, but i like the way you think.
Yeah its doable but a real knuckle buster. Pull the driveshaft like funwithfuel said, that buys you room. I'd also yank the skid plate if yours has one. Long 1/4 drive ratchet n a mirror is your friend here. Swap the hose clamps for fuel injection type while ur in there, way easier to snug up blind.
