Hi all, thanks for the wealth of knowledge here. I’ve searched but can’t find anything relevant. My open door light won’t go off and there’s no beeping noise when I turn the key. Checked all fuses and batteries are good. Have tried everything I can think of.
Welcome to HEF Hg ! Unfortunately "2011" doesn't cut it. Need a serial number please. If you reach into the cab without climbing in and just turn the key to the "ON" position (don't crank it), does the instrument panel light up?
Thank you for the welcome! Nothing happens when turnking the key to ON from outside the cab. Serial # 1T0319DAPB0198595
Check your ignition relay. It under the cab on the right frame (left looking in). There is a sheet metal cover covering the relays and fuse holders. You might have to remove that cover. Anyway the relay to check would be on the rearward side, 3rd down from the top.
The ignition relay was a bit corroded so I replaced with new. As well as another one that was corroded. Checked all fuses, all good there as well.
Let's back up. All 3 lights in your picture are lit all the time, key off or on? Or are they lit only when you sit in the seat? In seat or not the key does not power up the display?
The three lights lit up only when you sit in the seat and shut the hatch door. When you insert the key in ignition nothing comes on and nothing goes off no changes. Even with hatch door closed these 3 lights don’t go off.
The 3 lights are supposed to come on when you sit in the seat and stay lit until it is started, seat bar lowered, the door is closed and the park brake released. The issue you are having is not getting "switched" power to your display. That is what needs to be figured out. Did you try swapping that relay with one below it (the accessory relay)? If you do and the relay was bad then you should have power to the monitor and loose power to lights, wipers, etc.
Figured out the problem. The relay is not getting the command to send a Power if I give the relay Direct power every thing working Now we need to figure out why the relay is not getting the command?
At the battery make sure the small red wire connected to the positive battery clamp is secure. If it is molded into the clamp then shake, yank and pull it to see if it comes loose or if the monitor lights up (with key on) while wiggling. Need to check the grounds. Make sure the G07 Black wire for the ignition relay has a good ground. Most grounds are at the starter. Check them. You will also need to make sure your ECU has good grounds (same location, at starter). The ECU is what controls the ignition relay. You may have to check that the ECU is getting both unswitched battery voltage as well as switched voltage. If all that is OK, then you need to trace out the J07 Tan wire (control for the relay). It comes from the ECU. There is also a splice inside the harness that could be an issue as well. But I don't think this is the issue. I think it will be more basic than that.
