Turn the key and I can hear a slight click at my feet, but no crank. No codes flashing. I can jump a wire from positive battery side to the starter and it starts fine. How many safety switches are on it? Iv crossed the bar and seat switch and it didn’t help. Maybe I’m doing it wrong?
Check/ swap relays in the fuse box by left ankle. Also check relay grounds, for some reason that seems to be an issue on those.
When you turn the key, what you are doing, is sending 12v to the control side of relay, either 85 or 86. Depending on how its wired one will be ground,(usually computer controlled) the other will be your ignition input. Start there, use a test light to check both. If those inputs are there, then relay should latch, and send power down to the starter on the solenoid wire, that you initially jumped. Another quick test would be to remove relay, and use a jumper wire from terminal 30 which should be 12v, over to 87, that will test that solenoid wire all the way to the starter. The even quicker test is just swapping the relay with a known good one. But if that doesn't work, then do the tests mentioned.
