2018 246d cat accelerator pedal not working (code)

Just received the 2495-4 code "accelerator pedal position sensor below normal" The accelerator pedal has no response. Any ideas where to start? BYF04657

    *the hand throttle functions as it should. Is this something that I can run until I get it fixed or should it be parked until the code is fixed?
