I got a 267 an when you turn the key on there is power to the dash. But then you try to start it all the power dies. Replaced battery . Leave it sit a few hrs an there is power again but turn to start an power shuts off. Any ideas. Im thinking bad relay or circuit breaker ? Thanx For the help.

Check the battery connections, the main ground connection, and the main positive connection to the starter.

Problems like yours are not always easy to find Timmyy. It could be a faulty power relay, but what's likely happening is you have a bad connection somewhere in the power circuit. When ignition switch is turned on, the amperage required to power components is relatively low, but when you hit start, it takes more amperage through conductors. Any conductor or connection that's not good in this case will "break the circuit" and cause power failure. Then for no apparent reason, power can be restored when not using starter. I typically search these problems using a test light probe with a helper in the cab to hit start on keyswitch. Place ground clamp of test light wire to ground post of battery, not the ground cable terminal, to the battery negative post itself. Then place probe of test light to positive battery post, not cable terminal. Have helper hit start. If light stays lit, battery good. Move test light connections to battery cable terminals, hit start again. If light stays light when hitting start on keyswitch, cable connections are good Move test light ground clamp to good ground on engine, place test light probe on positive battery lug on starter, have helper hit start. If light stays lit, you've established main positive and negative cables and connections are good and you'll have to move deeper into wiring. If light goes out when attempting to crank engine, you've got a bad cable or connection. I worked on a Bobcat once that got its main system power at positive battery connection at starter, three 12 gauge wires with ring terminals were connected at starter post along with main positive battery cable. I probed each of the three 12 gauge wires through insulation of wire after ring terminal crimp. Found one that when you hit start, light went dead on test light. Cut that ring terminal off and fitted a new one, problem solved. That's the kind of stuff you're looking for.

I had a 257 do that and it was a wire chafed down in the bottom. I don't know witch wire or where as the machanic could only feel it or see with a mirror standing on his head so I had no intrest in finding it as long as he fixed it. If you moved the harnes it would start once or twice then right back to nothing so try moving the harnes and keep trying the key good luck it took about a week to find my problem hope you find yours faster.
