I donate my time to help a group of diabled veterans building a horse farm to help other wounded veterans heal. They have a older 299D and the bucket will not curl or dump ? up and down works fine and the machine runs fine, Just wont dump or curl bucket. It has a advanced display also. When i go to service screen and move the joystick left and right it reads its going to -100% and +100% respctively but nothing happens. It does the same when i check up and down function. I would greatly appreciate any insight as to where to look for issue. These folks dont have much income to work with and its there only machine. Trying to not just throw parts at it. Thank you
Can you start by posting a Serial Number please. If it has the Advanced Display can you check if there are any Active or Stored Codes/Events present.?

I would start by checking the wiring between the ECM and the tilt/rackback solenoids. Check your messages. You have mail.
i will have to run out to the farm and get the codes for you sir . Strangely enough the bucket attemps to curl when i use the thumb switch but will only move a bit and then stops
You mean the rotary thumbwheel on the RH joystick.? That is only supposed to operate the AUX hydraulics or Continuous Flow to the connections on the side of the lift arm.
Yes the continous flow for a broom or attachment
That thumbwheel is NOT supposed to operate the bucket tilt/rackback function. That is weird.
