310 Radial pump filter

I've cleaned out the screen going into the trans. housing on my '73 310,now my backhoe is digging pretty well.I still experience slow movement when stretching straight out with the hoe,raising the hoe up high is also extremely slow.I'm wondering if there is a filter on the front radial pump and where it's located.

    Did you change the hydraulic filter ?

    Yes,I changed hyd. and trans. filter.

    There is a screen in the control block on the pump, not sure if that would affect flow but maybe.
