Hello I'm looking for a down load or I reliable site to order a tech. manual , I down loaded a manual for $ 47 dollars and it really doesn't get into things like reverser test pressures etc. Thank you for any idea's Keith
Which manual did you get? as far as I know, JD has three different types, operators manual, repair manual, and something like test manual. Sounds like you want the test manual. If that's the one you have, then it may be a component test manual that you need? I'm not familiar with what gets a component manual besides the engine.
You likely have Repair manual TM1497. You need Operation and Test manual TM1496. It will have an explanation of systems operation and the test procedures for reverser , transmission , hydraulics ,brakes , electrical etc. That age and series of engines are covered in Component tech manual CTM4 or CTM8 depending on the engine serial #.
