I have stripped the ZF 4 speed manual shift, Reverser transmission and found the rattling noise coming from a failed rear bearing on the Intermediate shaft, and the 4th speed Synchro. I believe the Snap ring securing 4th speed gear (found amongst the failure debris) to be the causal part for this failure. I need to replace this shaft and the synchro hub, however the bearing cup housing has been damaged as well. My question is, is it feasible to have the housing be repaired ?
