Normal operating temp range for a 331g John Deere? Standard bucket, South East, bout 90 degrees farenheight outside temperature. Also, determining hydraulic pump failure.

Hydraulic temp range and also engine/coolant temp range

Please post the complete machine serial number. Deere made a change to their cooling package on the large frame SSL's. A S/N will tell me which package you have. Are you having overheat issues? Are you suspecting a hydraulic pump issue? Why?

Lil warmer run Temps and also it was acting a little sparatic yesterday with the forward and reverse control. Like it was weaker. No codes at all. Checked joystick location in the diagnostic and all was reading well.

Hydraulic temp should not exceed 194* F or travel speed will be limited. Engine temp depends on which thermostat is in it. It will be either a 160* or a 180*. Unfortunately, Deere doesn't show what your machine has. The parts page does not even say what the temp is. Derate, I believe, begins at 221*F.

Main cause for overheating? Coolant is full, radiators are clean. Stuck thermostat?

And engine coolant temp should remain between 160-180 or creep on up some more?

This was about 10 min after idling. Got it up to 208°F just by running up amd down driveway multiple times (140 yards maybe) with nothing on the front. Om the steepest section of driveway, the machine would slow down at full throttle with the joy stick pushed all the way forward. Is there a uneven terrain sensor of some sort? Hydraulic oil temp hit about 150°F-160°F at most. T rying to narrow down the "overheat" issue.

208* is too hot. Did you confirm temperature with an infrared heat gun? Is the fan turning? First thing to do is check the fan speed. You will need a non contact tachometer and reflective tape. Warm the engine and hydraulic oil to operating temperature. With the engine off, attach the tape, unplug the fan speed control solenoid (solenoid closest to the fan on the fan motor), start the engine, run it to full throttle. Measure the fan rpm. Should be 2450-2600 rpm. Post results.

Fan is turning. High and low. Also doing the reverse. Did the exhaust clean out twice I think. Don't own a non contact tachometer at the moment. Will check with Infrared gun for Temps. If fan is not turning full RPMs what would be next step?

At 208*, that fan should be screaming. If it is not turning at full rpm, then next step would be to remove the two solenoid cartridges off the fan motor and inspect them for debris. Clean them if you can. At the same time, cut open the hydrostatic filter (and hydraulic filter if you have that option) and inspect them. See below video on how to do that. Filter Inspection
