   6090 engine? There are 2 different head bolts which require a different torque. You got new bolts I hope? Post a picture of the bolts. They are physically different.

   Based on the head bolt you have, heymccall's post is the correct torque procedure and specification. The only thing the Deere manual states that is different is to tighten #17 to 60 lbft first before following step 1, then tighten in sequential order (hitting #17 a second time on step 1).
