Was hooking up a drag with our TJ skidder and noticed that oil was leaking out the bottom in quantity. Shut it down - oil all over the place in front - there is lots of play in the balance shaft - side to side movement of a 1/4" so suspect that the front bearing is done and seal also. Does anybody know if the repair could be as simple as replacing the front bearing and seal? Or should I be looking at a rebuild or doing an R&R with another engine (runner or rebuild). The skidder is in the bush 200m from the road - will try and limp it back to the road for access. Thanks for any ideas. Anybody know of any 4-53's available immediately??
