Hi I just picked up a used 2012 John Deere 410k and I can’t seem to engage 4 wheel drive. The four-wheel-drive icon lights up at start up, but pressing the 4wd switch doesn’t seem to do anything. Any ideas? Thanks JP
Welcome to HEF JP ! Should have opened this thread in the tractor loader backhoe section. Hopefully the MOD's will move it. First thing we need is a serial number of the machine. It will help with getting accurate information. The MFWD switch is an input to a controller and then the controller has an output to the MFWD solenoid. You can check input to the controller form the monitor display. Press and hold the menu button for 5 seconds until the words "SERVICE MENU" appear. Then scroll to transmission, press select. Then scroll to MFWD and press select. In there you can see if the signal is getting to the controller and if the controller is commanding an output. Also, are there any codes?
