I have a 416 backhoe that i parked the other day and it was fine now i go and start it and it wont go in forward or reverse and the back up alarm wont even work when shifted in reverse, i tested the rev. sensor and it will only work if i power it, same with the solenoid for the fow/rev.

Check the wiring of the neutralizer buttons on the speed shift and hyd levers. Later Bob
I have and not sure what the readings should be, cause thats what it is acting like it just wont go in gear at all.
I think it's powered with full bat voltage to neutralize. Later Bob
If its a C model then the transmission disengage switch could be turn on , its on the left side of the dash , red button. My guys have called a couple times that my tractor wouldn't move and that was the problem. Other wise it would be a sticky bucket control neutral switch or the gear selector neutral switch.
