416E cat loss of steering

Hi Guys. My friend has a 416e that has lost power steering. Its a 2010. If he holds the tilt on front bucket the steering will come back but only when holding another function at the same time. Please any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

    Sounds like a bad resolver. Don't have access to info right now. Be sure to share a serial number of the machine.

    Hi mccall its a 2011 416e lms00284 . We tried to extend the boom with foot peddle and the steering comes back. Do you have a diagram of resolver ? Do you think i can repair it like a o ring ?

    Sorry do you have info for the resolver ? I was thinking of pulling it apart this weekend.
