450 c problems

I have a John Deere 450 c withthat has fliud in bell housing. It looks like water with a oil tecture. It does not take long to fill up the bell housing with fuild about 3-5 min. I am not sure if it is transmission or hydraulic fliud. transmission and hydraulic work .

    Hi Chadc, It is going to have to be from the transmission. The hydraulic and transmission are totally separate from each other on a 450C like on most other machines. They hydraulic system consists of the reservoir located on the right sid of the operator seat, the pump located on the front of the engine and the valve train located to the right of the operator seat also in front of the hydraulic reservoir. If you are getting fluid in the fluid of some type in the bell housing it has to be transmission if oil related. If water in it must have a cooler leaking. Good luck with it. The 450C's are a real little bi*** to work on.
