we have a 1989, 450 g dozer that will not move, we had been using it to move some brush, went to back up and it stopped working, we changed the filter, drained the fluid, replaced the filter and fluid, still wont move. anyone got any ideas
Didn't happen to pull the suction screen while the oil was out did ya? Usually if anything internal fails, debris will get caught in the screen. Any chance you have stuck linkage causing it to de-clutch?
yea, the screen was clean. The linkage seems to be fine.
Drive shaft spinning between the engine and the transmission? I see a declutch switch and solenoid that seems to be connected also to the backup alarm switch? Might be optional, if you have it, there's one switch in the decelerator linkage and maybe one in the brake linkage up above the brake pedal? Can't tell much from parts books. Might be able to disconnect the solenoid coil on top the transmission, check for voltage. I'm guessing bad switch or broken wire, no voltage, no travel?
Local fellow was telling me his did similar, a broken spring behind a plug? Sorry I didn't ask more.
What ever happened with this?
john deere has it now, we never could get anyone to come up and work on it.
