My JLG 3369E is missing the control box, wanting to know if can I convert it to 24 volts. changing the control box with a 24-volt and using 6 6-volt batteries in place of 8?

Dropping in voltage means more amperage running through the wires which means bigger wires needed and loss in power through loss in efficiency due to increase in amperage which is heat. Six 6V batteries equals 36V, you would only need half the amount of batteries.

Not really practical as the pump motor, the motor controller and all the valve coils and contactors are 48V. To change all that to work on 24V would cost a good bit of coin even if it could be done.

I cannot find OEM or aftermarket 48-volt control box for the 3369E scissor lift, you can find 24-volt boxes with no problem. Appreciate any input to resolve my problem!

What are you calling a control box, the platform control box or the motor controller at the drive motor contactors?

That's actually a common problem nowdays, not long ago I needed a new ALC500 platform circuit board for a Genie S60, wasn't one to be had, not even from Genie, I had to get an outfit in China to build one and ship it to me.
