I am having troubles with a 544H loader, kind of a long story that I will try and keep brief. The transmission is intermittently loosing 3rd and 4th gear. there is a code being posted but we cant get the select button on the dash to work so we can look up the code. We ordered a used dash and replaced it thinking that it was probably a good idea to have that working anyway. We installed the replacement dash, still the select button did not work and the transmission is only giving us 2nd gear and display says Ff instead of F2. I am thinking that the stuck in second is due to needing to be programmed but we cant program it without the select button Grrrrrrrrr!!!!! Has anyone had similar issues? I would like to just order a new dash for it but at $3000 I would hate for the select button to still not work. If anyone has a TM1604 test manual they would like to share that would help a lot as well.
Did you ever get this fixed?
OP hasn't been seen for three years.......
I didn't want to post another thread and get nailed for not searching. Our 544H will not shift. We replaced the FNR selector with the new/updated part. It came with a Y-harness. We can get the tractor to start, but it won't go into gear. We're getting voltage across the wires for F and R when the selector is in R. We only have a wiring diagram that was posted in another thread on this board to go by.
Hang in there I'm sure someone will chime in...
Need a serial number.

You have voltage to both forward and reverse at the same time? Did the FNR get wired correctly? The H Series jumper harness ("Y" harness) is connected to the 1 pin weather pack connector near the base of the steering column. This is the ground wire to the wiper circuit. The jumper will tee into the wiper ground circuit. The single weather pack terminal on the jumper needs to be inserted into the spare connector cavity on the machine side mating 4 pin weather pack connector for the FNR Lever. That new "Hall Effect" FNR is ground sensitive.
When placing the tractor in reverse there is voltage on the F & R leads. Forward is fine, but the tractor won't move, and neutral is fine. We may have a problem further down the line. We noticed that someone had cut the black wire on the old FNR harness. Just to troubleshoot the mechanic cut the same wire on the tractor side after installing the HEFNR and the unit operates as it should now. We may have to get the TCU looked at in the future. **EDIT** the dealership did send us a 7 page PDF on how to install the new Y harness. Even though we had done this correctly, it still had the voltage. Cutting the wire fixed the issue.
