Piston seals in the blade lift cylinders.

You'd check the cylinders before the valve body? All the cylinders are dry... The valve body on the other hand is more than a little wet. The machine has 9500 hrs

Place it in the air, block blade off ground and cap and plug the cylinder lines then back blade off blocks if it's cylinders one side of blade should drift if they're good blade won't move. Or take lines off rod end of cylinders and lift blade all the way up, if oil comes out of line on cylinder while stalling blade up piston seals are bad.

Eh, they pull to lift the blade, so you need pressure on the rod end to lift the blade. Don't remove rod end hoses. If you want to test deadhead, lift the cylinders all the way up, remove and cap the hose connected to the butt end of one cylinder at a time and then apply upward pressure. If the cylinders haven't been resealed before they're due with that kind of hours If the piston seals are bad oil is bypassing from the rod end to the butt end of the cylinder so you won't see the rod gland leaking. As to the valve, the lines from the cylinder are sealed at the spool so unless a port relief valve is leaking or the spool is badly worn, you won't get drift. External oil leaks are messy but won't normally cause or be the result of cylinder drift. YMMV
