You had better check your sleeve protrusion above the block, there were many of the blocks where the sleeve would recede into the block a couple of thousands of an inch, clean the block and sleeve thoroughly and clamp the sleeve down firmly, there should be a couple of thousands of an inch jump up from the bock to the sleeve

I checked sleeves when I was cleaning it , but will sure check again n go over n clean it all again, thanks .. Can't tell in this picture but that gasket was made where centers didn't come all way together . Never seen one like that , common?

I did my head gaskets with a liberal coating of the copper spray. It was recommended by the shop that rebuilt my 188D. Use lots...

Local fresh caught wild B.C. salmon is probably tops. So many ways to do it up and enjoy. We catch spot prawns a mile from our dock and they are a special treat done in butter and garlic on the pan. Everyone has a special recipe to do them up their own way. We can catch enough in a month to last us over the winter season when its not practical to set traps. My fishing trips are usually in July and August, at one of several places on the west coast of Vancouver Island but only a few hours towing and a short boat ride away from home. These days we stay at one of the lodges and get a decent bed to sleep in, a meal and a spot to tie up the boat for reasonable money. Fishing is always good, catching not so much but in a good year, we can have 8 salmon per trip and that is always more than enough for us for the rest of the year. Some is eaten fresh, some smoked and a few frozen for later in the year. We always laugh about what the fish cost, as having a boat etc makes them a rather expensive hobby compared to buying at the supermarket...

I'm getting hongry thinking bout it .... we go deep sea fishing couple times year out small town n Florida. The cost per pound some people still can't understand.. haha but it's fun and we always get limit on grouper n snapper. And there no better therapy
