99 580sl. Gauge moves but dont read. Turn key forward or right way gauge moves towards empty. Turn key backwards the gauge moves direction it should go. What should i check or look at or replace? Thank you in advance. New to the group. Got a 99 case 580 sl s2. Great machine. Has manual quick connect in front. Have forks and a 10ft hyd plow for it. Its the easiest manual quick connect i have ever dealt with. Alot better then the bobcat set up. Was suprised.
Disconnect wire at fuel sending unit in tank, you'll have to remove cover above fuel tank, turn key on and have someone watch gauge and ground wire to ground if gauge goes all the way up then your sending unit is bad or wires are bad. But more than likely sending unit is bad.
