what oil is required for the 580c trans? ive read gear oil on other site, doesn't sound rite,im thinking trans/hydro
Hey David, Depends on your definition of 'trans' there. The Transaxle (transmission and axle) takes 80/90W gear oil. That's the big beast in the back end from the shifter back to the rear wheels. The Shuttle (torque converter and clutch packs for changing from forward/neutral/reverse) uses a Hyd/Trans oil. Not a straight Hyd oil though, it's best to use some Hyd/Trans type.
