Machine won’t go above idle, changed fuel filters filled bottom one with sea foam started up ran great for a short while then back to idle speed.
Did you check the fuel tank for contamination when you changed the filters? Fresh filters will be short lived if the bottom of the tank is full of crap.
When I changed the filters I let the lines purge and fuel came out clean
Filled a filter with pure SeaFoam ? Yikes !!! Flush it out, all the way to the injectors and stay with unmolested diesel fuel.
Need to look in the tank if possible, a machine that is sitting still may not suck anything from bottom of tank but when you start moving and sloshing around anything in the bottom of tank ie: algae, rust or water from condensation will become stirred up clog your new filters in no time. Is there a petcock/drain bowl in the bottom of that tank? Not insisting that's your problem, but should be explored. Was the machine sitting for any time before recent issues? Agree completely with the seafoam deal, don't do it.
Surprised it didn’t do a runaway with that much Seafoam.
Take the fitting off the top cover on the inj pump.. It’s the 1st one coming out of the cover.. it has the glass ball and spring in it.. See if removing it allows it to rev up..
I took the check ball off and cleaned it and it took care of the problem for now, Thanks guys
That good news..BUT.. it’s likely to happen again.. Next time, clean it out on a paper towel and inspect the bits that come out.. It’ll either be rust or black bits of the plastic flex ring.. If it’s the flex ring, there’s nothing u can do but pull the pump off and get it o/h’d.. Good luck
Where would b a good place to get it rebuilt not costing a arm or leg?
@Boot5 if you want it right the guy to go to is @thepumpguysc . I can't speak to his price but his reputation is excellent and he offers great advice and help here. Send it to him.
