Why did you put a new switch in.. was it to fix the same problem? Gotta find out if you have power going TO the starter and WHAT the voltage is.. just because it lites up a test LITE, doesn't mean you have enough VOLTAGE to turn the starter. Gotta get a cheap volt meter.. 7.00 at the parts store. We'll be happy to walk you thru it.. we just gotta have enough info to work with..

Once you do some testing w/ your multi meter to find the voltage readings AT the starter solenoid.. and if you determine that the key switch is bad.. Get 1 that's made specifically for your machine.. so it'll be a clean swap out.. I was helping a buddy do his and he got the wrong one and it was a nitemare.. ended up buying the correct one and THEN found out it was a bad solenoid on the starter.. He should have waited on a multi meter.. the solenoid was cheaper than the 2 key switches he bought..

First off let me say, "I'm not a mind reader", there may be a few on site here but I doubt it. You need to be more specific, whats the condition of the battery or batteries if there's 2. As suggested, voltage checks and the readings would help. As asked by TPG, why did you change the switch? If it's been sitting for 3 years, I doubt the batteries have a charge left in them.

Bite the bullet and put new batteries in it. Sitting three years without running in Beaumont ? They r most likely junk. If you can't afford to buy two of them, one ---> 1000 CCA will get you by.
