580sl rear work lights

i have 99 580sl the rear work light only will work if i run jumper ground to them. So my question is where is the ground for these work lights. I have checked the main chassis ground by the fuse box and cab ground but didnt fix the problem. Thanks for your time

    Welcome to HEF mack125! According to the schematic I have, that common ground at the fuse box is where it should be. Possible that wiring could be open circuited at a plug somewhere. Try to make a new earth up in the roof?

    Alrman thank you for reply that's what did was added new ground
