So the brake pump seems to be working as the pilot functions, anyone run across low application pressures? Wondering if pedal valve seals are torn up
Same braking with either brake pedal? Pilot pressure (does it come from the brake pump?) is reduced for the pilot system so even if pump pressure was low the pilots will still work. The brake pump is piston I think and may need the controller adjusted?
Ayep, this is the next task that the axles are all rebuilt. so opening the bleeder and stepping on the brake gets the brake fluid level about 6 feet over the top of the cab So the pump, piston style, feeds the pilot and brake circuits. Isolating the pilot circuit doesn't improve the brake pedal action, need to read the troubleshooting manual a little more to find the troubleshooting process.
