Today my ford started to miss under load. when governor kicked in it would miss. I changed points, coil. Starts good and runs good till governor kicks in
Going to need a compression check, could be a valve starting to give up. could be a plug wire shorting out too or a plug failing.
The tractor runs excellent when I first start it. Starts missing under load when the tractor is warmed up. Tractor is old but only has a 1000, hours on it.
Cap and rotor clean? No crud on any points of contact? Is the timing set right? Valves adjusted properly? Beyond that I agree with fast_st. There's a bug somewhere. Did the condenser get changed with points? Gap set right? Correct voltage coil for your charging system?

Once you can verify that the compression is good, might be time to clean your carb out, make sure your throttle shaft bushing isn't all clapped out, air. filter in good nick and all the jets are open, luckily all the passages are big
