What kind of problems you having?

Its just not starting. Im thinking the injector pump may not be pumping at enough pressure. Mainly chasing a manual to find out how to change out the pump without stuffing up the timing. Im going to pull the injectors and check spray pattern if the pump has enough pressure to open them.

Inline zexel pump? Have you used the priming pump, bled the filters, loosened the lines at the injectors, confirmed the shut off is operating? There's a filter INSIDE a BANJO bolt on the bottom of the priming pump that's mounted on the side of the injection pump. That banjo bolt is the intake from the fuel tank and that tiny screen blocks up with a tiny bit of junk that gets by the water separator (do you have a water separator, and has it been bypassed?). From the banjo bolt the transfer/priming pump pushes the fuel to the filter and back to the injection pump, so your fuel problems are mostly on the suction side of the transfer pump (pressure side will leak fuel and still run) Don't even think of pulling the injection pump.

Thanks for your reply Delmer. I had tried everything besides the filter in the banjo at priming pump which i wasn't aware of so thanks for that. i have managed to get the old girl started. There was a loose bleed screw (i think thats what it is any way) that was leaking slightly nipped that up and she fired up. Not the pump but that was the screw that was loose.

Hi there I know is an old post and assume you have a manual now, but if not I have one. Also what models do you have? as I,m looking for information on a HD 880 SE which also has the same engine. Cheers, Trev
