Has anyone change out the fuel solenoid on a 70XT Case? It is stuffed in between the injection pump and the engine block and doesn't look as though it will come out without removing the pump first. Or is there something that I am not seeing (wouldn't be the first time) here. It is the turbocharged version with a Bosch pump. Thanks
It will come out without pulling pump. Unbolt it and unhook the balljoint on the lever and drop it out the bottom. You may have to remove the oil line and tee fitting below the pump if it is installed in that area. The replacement solenoid should be a little bigger and it takes a mounting bracket and a couple of bolts to mount the new solenoid.
