730 dumptruck secondary steering motor

benmech ยท 2025-03-26 16:29

Hi there, hope you all doing good. I have code E530 After going testing and trouble shooting , found out that the secondary pump not running . Good powersupply, signal to the relay, every thing ok. Took the motor out, tested it outside on a 24v source , still nothing. Took the motor apart, brushes gone. Shaft didn't look to healthy either. My question is, is it a submergable motor, because it was full with oil or it supposed to be dry? Thanks in advance.

By chance do you have any layout for the Cat 318m wheeled excavator's auxilary hydraulic lines layout.

Serial# FHF800892 CLient wants to connect a aftermarket stone/brick grapple on it There are still 3 connectors free, but what pressure and wich the return line i dont know

Serial Number doesn't make sense. Can you check and confirm.

    *CATM318FHFB800892*

If the S/N prefix is "F8B" rather than the "FB8" above then that would make sense. Please confirm.

Well either that plate or SIS is wrong, because the M318F shows up as "F8B" in the system. It is listed as having Medium Pressure lines in the Hydraulic System. Do the lines on the boom & stick look like this.

There are 2 medium press lines in use already on a swivel bucket connector. There are still 3 lines left, one is a high pressure for sure. And one would be a return, but it looks like i have to follow the lines to the control valve

These are the high pressure lines.

I went thru them , i figured out the high pressure found the high press lines. Btw it is a wheeled excavator. It would be good if we could find a controled place frome where i can tap pressure and run lines to the clamp.
