Hopefully someone here has some experience with the 8.3 Cummins engine. First off, the truck NEVER warms up and I'm sure that this causes performance/fuel consumption issues. I can drive the truck all day in the middle of the summer and it never gets passed 110 degrees. If I put the tag trailer behind it and pull the excavator up grades it will get to about 170. My question is this, has anyone ever replaced the thermostats in this engine? Is it difficult? I would like to get these in before the winter. Also, I am going to replace the fuel filter and need the bleeding instructions if possible. The truck is a 95 Ford L8000. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
