Have a 2009 case 850k series 3 dozer. First it would not shut off with the key. Now it is cranking like 3 times than just clicks from starter... getting 7volts. To trigger wire.... NOW ALSO GETTING FUEL BUT NO SMOKE AT ALL STARTS ON ETHER DIES RIGHT OUT. NEW key switch. Starter.. BATTERIES. FIXED BROKEN WIRES AND BLOWN FUSES
12 volts in starter relay 7.4 out to trigger on starter.. getting fuel bled.. bled... bled... not even a puff. Ether it fires and cuts.
Is the fuel solenoid getting proper power while cranking, so unit can start. Is the cranking speed fast enough for compression ignition to happen. If you are only getting 7 volts at starter, you have bad batteries or bad wiring or grounds. Need to test positive and negative cables for voltage loss. If you don't know how we can explain. Need to get to root of problem. Simon C
No voltage drop just loose wires at relay. Found codes 21490. 4323f. Cleaned fuel shutoff solenoid plunger n̈ow starts and just wont shut off with key
Don't have schematics on your unit. They are worth having as you will have problems of other kinds also, just can't say when. Wondering if you have a burn't diode that is allowing a backfeed to keep the solenoid energized. Guessing the solenoid is powered to run , I could be wrong. Those relays can have 1 loose pin and you cant tell when pushing together. I have tightened the receivers on many a relay base. Keep us posted as to what you find. Simon C
Did the lift pump and loose dirty wires in the holder like always. But still not shutting off. Now I'm gonna put a fuel shutoff solenoid all has power where it should solenoids burning hot so I don't like that
If solenoid is very hot it is probably grounding out internally. Then it acts like a heat sink. Simon C
That's what i was thinking at this point fuel shutoff is bad. So hot when energized. thanks guys not sure why there is no info on this machine dealer says it's not what the plate says it's a 1850k series3 xlt. But plate says not xlt... got the lift pump fuel now just cleared out fuel system. Diesel gunk remover. Overnight. THANKS GUYS IM NEW TO THIS FORUM BUT YOU GUYS ROCK... Was going by the owner / dealer by me now know wat it is. It has decals that are not right.
Also says it's xlt but it isn't according to the dealer it's 12v not 24 and I report he has sent me so far has been wrong
I have done the same that was the starter problem
Those IP's are bad for destroying themselves. If there is metal on the shutoff solenoid plunger it's toast, along with injectors.

When changing the lift pump a few flakes of something came out of the fuel line and I drained a little bit more and then put it back on....cleaned out all the srew out solenoids made sure they worked and it ran after bleeding and little ether
