My 863 Bobcat is showing a major fuel leak. Checked the most obvious places for the problem. Any suggestions where to look before the task of removing engine and pumps?
Its just a simple Deutz 1011 engine.. fuel comes from the tank to a supply pump thru a filter & to the injection pumps.. everything is connected w/ copper washers.. 2 916 710 610 & 608's..{Bosch} 14mm & 12mm banjo bolt style connections. Throw in a couple of rubber hoses & clamps & that's all ya got.. NO NEED to pull a motor. DONT TRY to scrimp out & "find" some washers.. they're metric.. get the correct ones.
Hopefully you get the easy fix like thepumpguy is suggesting. I had my tank crack a couple weeks ago and had to replace it which meant pulling everything. Mine was dripping out from under the machine and only did it when the tank was more then 1/2 full. The crack started right at the fill neck on the tank and ran out from there. Just something else to check for, but hopefully its those banjo bolt washers. I got my bolt washers from bobcat they were copper and very reasonably priced when I had the motor out. (mine were for the oil supply to the turbo)
