Hi guys, Just up graded the old 953C, and bought a very tidy 953D with just over 2500hrs on it, the down side is, it has System 1 U/C on it, has anyone had any experience with the System 1 on their 953D and what hours did you get out of the chains..? Have spoken to a couple guys here in Oz that have had System 1 chains on their machines, and the hours have ranged from just on 1700 (Cat came to the party, because of the low hrs) to 5000hrs before they failed.... then they both changed the System 1 over to salt. Also have spoken to a Cat U/C tech here, who said it was the worst thing that Cat did, putting System 1 on drott.
