955L Oil Leak at Final Drive

Hollyrock · 2024-09-04 16:54

Hello, So i have a small leak at one of my 955L final drives, i have a CAT procedure for loading the bearing at the drive, (attached) as was mentioned a possible fix for a slight oil leak. Would it be recommended that I only start and number 4, assuming that 1 through 3 would have already been completed on the initial install?

OK is it leaking at the sprocket or the holder assembly. You will have to remove track and track frame if it is leaking at the sprocket if is at the holder you can take the ring of bolts off the cover and replace gasket or replace dule cone seal in witch you will have to drop frame

If the preload is not right it could be adjusted if it hasn’t been run long enough to ruin the seals.
