We can't figure out why the transmission fluid is getting into the differential. We have changed all the seals and don't know what's forcing it in. It can't be gravity! Any ideas what would cause this? We have done much more, but will spare you the details unless someone has an idea.
Check the suction screen for the steering pump, round cover beside the suction line to steering pump. If the screen gets full of debris(usually brake band lining) the steering pump will draw oil from the trans pump. Or you may only need to overhaul the steering and trans pump. Later Bob
Hey Bob! My husband asked me to send you a great big thank you!!! They (him and his brothers) have been working on this thing for a couple of weeks now and just couldn't figure it out! He came home last night and said...we have to take that guy (you) out to dinner or buy him a case of beer or something!!! They haven't actually started it up yet...(waiting for more oil), but the screen was plugged full of debris. And, with that cleaned out....it should work like a champ. You were right on Bob! Thank you so very much!!! Jean
I have to add.....judging from Bob's other posts it seems he has been around and has worked on a lot of different stuff. It's nice to have you here Bob!! :thumbsup
Beer is GOOD, thankyou. Later Bob
