I have a 977h pedal steer that looses fluid out of the steering clutch control system. This started when i changed filter & oil in steering system . Can not find the leak. Not in bevel gear housing at drain plug not on or around filter housing. Leak is so bad system will not get full . Supposed to be 16 quarts (2 gallons) over 4 gallons now . Where should i be looking for escaping oil ?
Your machine with pedal steer likely uses the bevel gear oil for steering. The booster is different from the lever steer machines. Later Bob
It has its own oil . You drain it into the bevel gear housing with a drain plug in top of the bevel gear housing. The fill plug & level check plug ( petcock) is on top of the bevel gear housing.
